Coming up in April we have two special Polari events.
The first is on Wednesday April 20 at gay gastro pub John The Unicorn in Peckham, where my guests will be Andreena Leeanne, who was nominated for last year’s Polari First Book Prize, and Penge’s own poet laureate Barbara Brownskirt, with her latest volume The Bus-stop Will Not Be Sanitized.
I’m hoping Barbara will treat us to a reading of her site specific poem, 4 Days on Peckham Rye!
Plus there’ll be a free Polari pale ale with every ticket purchase.
The second is event on Thursday April 28 at The Printworks in Hastings, when I’ll be joined by former Polari Prize winning poet John McCullough, local legend VG Lee and Brighton crime writer Helen Trevorrow.
